      How this list is made

      Read at the source

Every program here was read on a page published by its funder or by the agency running the program, on the date shown on its card, or on an archived copy of that page where the card says so. Where the funder's page gives no amount or no date, the card gives none either.

      Dates only when published

A deadline appears as a date only when the funder has posted that date, or a fixed yearly rule such as the first Monday in December; for a rule, the card shows the next date as of the day the list was updated. Otherwise the card describes the cycle and sends you to the funder.

      What is left out

Funders that publish no way to start, such as an application, an inquiry form or a contact to call first, are not listed, and neither are programs that have ended. Programs change after a card is checked. Confirm the details with the funder before you apply.

      What stays with you

The name you type and the filters you choose never leave this device. This browser keeps the name, who is looking, the county, focus areas, ownership and any saved programs for your next visit; the More filters start fresh. The organization lookup uses the public IRS list of tax-exempt organizations.
